Vatican Evolution Congress to Exclude Intelligent Design and Creationism

The Catholic News Service reports that an evolution-debate sponsored by the Vatican will not include supporters of intelligent design nor creationism. Marc LeClerc, a Jesuit Father and professor of philosophy at the Gregorian said that the organizers "wanted to create a conference that was strictly scientific."

This is interesting because Pope Benedict XVI became famous in the Catholic Church as Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger for his support of intelligent design.

QUESTION Why a combination of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen suddenly acquire 'desire to survive' in 'evolution'. Random combination of amino acids shall not have any desires.

QUESTION When you come and see a painting you possibly assume that there is or was an author somewhere. Why seeing much greater beauty of life creature one may suggest that there is no author?
